Studio History
Bogdan and Gosia Wienc are originally from Poland, where they were finalists in the Polish National Championships along with being representatives of Poland in numerous international dance competitions throughout Europe. During this time they were also members of the elite dance formation team “Mirage,” which placed third in Europe and fourth in the World.
After leaving Poland, Bogdan and Gosia moved to England where for two years they studied among the greatest ballroom dancers and coaches in Europe.
They moved to Florida in 1991 and have called the Tampa Bay area home ever since. Children soon came into the picture for Bogdan and Gosia, as they welcomed their first of three children in 1994. While they were raising their children, they continued pursuing their dancing careers, both competing and performing. They were named one of the twelve best couples at the US National Championships in the Standard (Ballroom) Division. Today they are members and adjudicators for the NDCA in Rhythm, Smooth, Latin, and Standard dances.
After a successful dance career and three children later, Bogdan and Gosia decided to open a dance studio that would provide a family friendly, joyful environment for people of all ages, levels and desires to be able to achieve all of the magical benefits of Social Ballroom Dancing.

The doors of Magic Dance Club were opened on January 1, 2007. Immediately the studio began to be recognized not only for its ability to make beautiful dancers, but most importantly for being the friendliest and most welcoming studio in the area.
In 2015, Bogdan and Gosia Wienc, the owners of Magic Dance Club, and their fantastic staff moved into their new, beautiful ballroom and studio, certainly the grandest and most spacious ballroom in Florida. The spectacular Grand Opening celebration brought celebrities and new and former students to celebrate Magic’s new facility that features an enormous dance floor, a gigantic, glowing chandelier, plus mood lighting and a state-of-the-art sound system, as well as dressing rooms, a café area and sliding doors to make a smaller dance room. The Grand Opening attendees were amazed by the new ballroom and danced, ate fine food and drink and were treated to performances by students and teachers. A cutting of a red ribbon by the major topped off the evening, officially opening the doors!
Today, Magic Dance Club continues to be recognized not only for its ability to make beautiful dancers, but most importantly for being the friendliest and most welcoming studio in the Tampa Bay area. Magic’s highly talented teachers specialize in both making their students into beautiful dancers, as well as making learning fun and easy for people of ALL levels.
