Kyle loves to dance and brings more than 30 years of dance experience to Magic Dance Club.
Kyle comes to the ballroom world via ballet and Broadway, having been a professional ballet dancer who trained on scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, and then a Broadway dancer, appearing on The Great White Way and in national tours, as well as regional theater, in shows such as “La Cage Aux Folles,” “Meet Me in St. Louis,” “Me and My Girl,” “Anything Goes,” “Can-Can”(with Chita Rivera and the Rockettes), “42nd Street” and “A Chorus Line.”
A graduate of the University of South Florida’s dance department (he also has his master’s in Mass Communications from USF), Kyle’s dance experience runs the gamut from contemporary dance and ballet to tap and jazz, as well as ballroom dance. He wishes there had been a show like “So, You Think You Can Dance” when he was starting out!
Kyle taught tap for three years at the Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center (formerly the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center), an experience that he holds near and dear to his heart (“If you can clap, you can tap!”).
Kyle truly feels that he is most joyous when on the dance floor and invites all the ladies to join him for a fox trot, rumba or any dance of their choice whenever they are at Magic Dance Club.
Let’s dance, ladies!
